China has banned handing out foreign entertainment programs, there are foreign elements in the frame for prime time national television, by fears of negative effects.

Chinese authorities concerned, the development of entertainment programs of foreign copyrights would cause more impact on the culture, the Chinese society. Therefore, the television program originating from foreign countries will "can not account for more than 25% of the total broadcasting time of day," agency managed radio, television and movies today China announced Tuesday.

Based on that basis, the above programs prohibited on the time frame from 19h to 22h daily.
Together, Chinese President Hu Jintao has warned of the hostile forces of the Communist Party is trying to divide and create conflict in the country through war ideology. Beijing has seen clearly the escalating unrest in the Middle East, North Africa and even in Russia in the sensitive time. Therefore, thorough preparation for Beijing to avoid trouble on the job needed.
Apart from tightening rules for television programs broadcast on prime time, the cultural products like books, movies and art are also subject to stricter censorship of the government.
Autumn this year, China will carry out transfer of power between two generations of leaders, the second term of President Hu Jintao ended.
