At least 10 people were killed after strong earthquake measuring magnitude 5.2 occurred last night in the town of Lorca, southern Spain. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake occurred at a depth of only 1 km, about 120km from the city of Alicante at the 18h47 (local time). The main quake followed by a 4.4 magnitude aftershock about two hours later. It is not clear how many people were injured, although Spanish media said that number of tens. The local government said the death toll will rise.
