About 800 tonnes of fish in the lake next to Taal Volcano, south of Manila had been killed over the weekend and emerged, by the sudden temperature decrease.

Before this situation, local government has banned the sale of dead fish. Instead, they buried the fish in Talisay and four other towns in the province of Batangas.
Mr. Rose del Mundo, an official of the Philippines Ministry of Fisheries said today the number of dead fish was significantly reduced. Experts believe the fish die-off phenomenon as irrelevant to the operation of the Taal volcano. Taal volcano and lake surrounded by dairy farming people, has killed fish in bulk. Taal volcano and the lake is the tourist capital of the expensive hotel Batangas.
According to preliminary investigations, the cause of fish die-off is due to temperature changes during the rainy season last week, which reduced the amount of oxygen in the water. Currently, the lake surface area being covered by a white color of the fish body. Local people have to wear a mask covering the nose because the stench rises concentration anonymously. Many people here were very sad because of large losses during this dead fish.
