At the New Delhi Auto Show 2012 taking place in India, Ford has introduced surprise five-door crossover called EcoSport.

Ford EcoSport was developed based on the platforms of the Fiesta five-door sports style inspired by the concept model Evos appeared at Frankfurt Motor Show 2011. The highlight of the car, including grille and trapezoidal-size spare tire mounted on the back door.

Under the plan, India will be the first market to receive the production version of Ford EcoSport. Then, Ford will deliver EcoSport nearly 100 countries around the world.
As the first Ford vehicles involved small crossover segment, EcoSport will be equipped with turbocharged EcoBoost 1.0L 3-cylinder direct fuel injection. This engine for maximum power is 120 horsepower and CO2 emissions at just 140g/km. Even the operating parameters of the 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine is the equivalent of 1.6 liters of normal.
Ford claims that the new booster will provide maximum torque of 170 Nm at 1300-4500 r / min.
