A strong earthquake measuring magnitude 6.3 happened today in the central coast of Peru and left dozens injured.

According to BBC , the quake occurred just after midnight with the city of Ica epicenter about 15 km southeast of where to have suffered an earthquake in 2007 devastated.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) earthquake occurred today at a depth of 39km.Communication Peru said that more than 10 people were injured as an earthquake. "Most of the victims were injured and scratched," Fernando Leon Castaneda, manager of a local hospital said.
The report said in Ica, power in this area were cut off, but so far no information about major damage as well as the casualties. In addition, officials did not provide a tsunami warning after the quake.
Ica Province have suffered a strong earthquake of 7.9 magnitude in 2007, killing at least 540 people dead and destroyed about 40,000 homes.
