House fire happened in Beijing this morning killing at least 17 people were killed and 24 wounded.
According to news agency Xinhua , citing local police, the fire took place at 1am today (local time) in a four-storey building in Daxing District, the southern suburbs of Beijing. The fire has been extinguished. Officials may provide information about the cause of the fire.

An official reply by telephone at the headquarters in the town of Jiugong, where the fire occurred, said it was not able to confirm number of casualties that the media offer, said an official investigation is underway .
Fire is deadly situation occurs frequently in China. The cause is often blamed for the lax management and not following fire safety regulations. The Chinese government regularly to tighten safety regulations following the fatal fire, but the loss of fire safety still continues.
In November last year, a fire at an apartment building being renovated in Shanghai has caused 58 deaths. Investigation showed that an unlicensed plumber was negligence caused the fire.
