At least 75 people were killed when a pipeline exploded and caught fire yesterday in a slum in Kenya's capital Nairobi.

According to BBC , the explosion occurred at Lunga Lunga industrial city of Nairobi. Police and military blockade of the region, while rescue teams battled the intense fire in the slums surrounding towns. A Red Cross official said at least 75 bodies were found, while some reports said the death toll could reach more than 100. In addition, over 110 injured in the incident.

One of the survivors, Jane Mumbua, said many people standing too close to the pipeline at the time it exploded. "I just heard a loud bang, then saw many people catches fire. All the people around me were burning, "he said. Another witness said that, some people tried to jump into the river to avoid the fire.
Prime Minister of Kenya Raila Odinga visited the site of the explosion and described the scene he saw was terrible. Richard Leresian, director of Kenyatta National Hospital, said 112 people were taken to hospital and most severely burned.
Had other fatal cases in Kenya involving the attraction of fuel leakage. In 2009, more than 100 people were killed in Molo, western Kenya, after a fire burning from an overturned tanker.
