Floods have killed at least 166 people in northern Thailand. The situation is expected worse, when Tropical Storm Haitang landed in this country.

According to an alert posted on the official website of the Thai Meteorological Department, storm Haitang is expected landfall in the northeastern province Amnat Charoen as Mukdahan and, bringing heavy rain and strong winds to most of the provinces North country.
