Start your day with oats. The oats fill up your stomach and make you less inclined to snack until lunchtime.
- Don’t skip breakfast because it won’t help you lose weight as many people think so. If you skip breakfast, you’re likely to over-eat for the rest of the day.
- Take pauses between courses. Wait 20 minutes before opting for a dessert because your brain needs time to register that your stomach is full.
- Keep a low-calorie bowl of soup with a sandwich during lunchtime. It makes you less likely to snack in the afternoon.
- Caffeine makes you feel hungry and overeat. So, cut the amounts of tea, coffee and cola.
- Take wholegrains like pasta, rice and wholegrain bread. They make you look thin and slim.
- Take semi-skimmed milk instead of full-fat milk, because it contains half the fat full-fat milk has.
- Take water instead of fizzy drinks. Swapping one glass of orange juice a day for water allows you lose almost a stone a year.
- Use some herbs or garlic instead of butter or oil to make a meal tastier.
- When you eat, sit up straight and don’t slouch because slouching makes you not feel full as quickly as sitting up straight does.
