1 / 6 Hong Kong residents own iPadThe report of market research company TNS show that global, Hong Kong is a country of the world's most popular iPad, while 17% of the population owns an iPad.
Market research firm TNS conducted a poll of 34,000 people in 43 countries around the world, including the average of six Hong Kong residents shall have an owner iPad, 6 times on average world (3%). In addition, half of the rest said it is looking to buy a tablet.

In another study, tablets were Hong Kong residents selected as preferred equipment for activities such as reading e-books (52%) and games (33%).

Hong Kong is a market iPad quite large, with 500,000 units sold within 12 months. Hong Kong is also famous for the black market (as prices here are usually much better the world). The clue on the black market here usually buy in bulk and shipped to some other markets, notably China mainland.
In the Chinese market, iPad is also 74% market share of the tablet, with a total of 1.4 million units sold in its own quarter.
