Fire has destroyed an area of nearly 1,000 people are focused event of transgendered people in New Delhi (India) yesterday and at least 14 people burned to death.
According to AFP, the flame rises at 7 pm (local time) and quickly spread to the area east of New Delhi. This is where an event is taking place of transgender people across India and many tents were erected around.
Local police said at the scene of the fire, they found 12 corpses scorched, while two others died in hospital. In addition, more than 35 others were injured in the incident. The local television guide fire brigade sources said initial investigation showed the fire broke out in the kitchen.

"We were saved and taken out of the center, but we do not know what happened to your friends trapped inside," one event told PTI of India.
Meanwhile, AP quoted rescue workers said, frayed wiring may cause fire and quickly spread to the surrounding tents. One witness recalled that, with great power for short, then fire suddenly breaks out and a gas tank exploded, causing many to flee panic.
Shapo, a member of the organizing committee, said that this event takes place 5 years of transgendered people, and yesterday was the first day of the festival lasted 20 days.

India has around 700,000 transgender people, called the eunuch. These are separate from society and living by begging, dancing at weddings or bless the newborn. They were often suffer discrimination.
