Yesterday (17.01.2012), Jerry Yang leaving Yahoo has decided to "pursue other goals," after 17 years with "giant" of a technology village.

Jerry Yang, 43, along with David Filo founded Yahoo in 1995 and put this company into a pioneer in the field of Internet. He served as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Yahoo since May 6 / 2007 to March 1 / 2009 and refused the biggest deals in the history of village technology worth U.S. $ 47 billion that Microsoft has offered, caused no little anger from shareholders of the company.
Yang has ceased all its activities in Yahoo from yesterday (17 / 1). He currently holds approximately 3.6% of Yahoo shares, with total assets of $ 1.1 billion (according to Forbes ).
In a letter to Chairman Roy Bostock, Jerry Yang said: "17 years with Yahoo is the most wonderful time of my life. I have gained valuable experience, but now it's time to stop and I want to pursue new areas outside of Yahoo. "
"I feel very comfortable when Scott Thompson was assigned as chief executive of Yahoo. I am confident that with his talent, he and company executives will lead Yahoo to success in the future. "
Scott Thompson, before coming to Yahoo was Chairman of PayPal, bringing success to the field of online payment of eBay.
