City of Christchurch, New Zealand had a devastating earthquake in February it has suffered an earthquake's magnitude 5.8 today, making people run away scattered evacuations.

According to AFP , the seismologists of the government New Zealand earthquake measuring 5.8 Richter magnitude, occurred at 1h58 pm (local time) and the epicenter is located at a depth of 8km.Then the main earthquake was accompanied by four aftershocks rocked the city. Last month, scientists have warned of the possibility of an earthquake in Christchurch.

Local media reported that the quake that frightened people running the streets, shopping centers were abandoned, while the airport was forced to temporarily shut down. Phone service and power system was also disrupted, but police said there are no reports of damage to homes.
Jo Davis, a resident of Christchurch city, said the quake caused panic of her neighbors and screaming."I was scared. I guess so long before a strong earthquake like that. In my house, a TV and coke spillage, but clearly not as strong as the earthquake in June. So I guess the situation is not so bad. "
New Zealand lies on the area known as the "Pacific Ring of Fire", a boundary between Australia and the Pacific tectonic plates.
