The waves were torrential rains caused landslides in eastern Uganda yesterday, killing at least 24 people were killed and three villages were buried.
According to the BBC , local people feared the death toll up to 35 people in the district Bulambuli, but so far only 24 bodies have been found. Among the victims, local officials have a wife and eight children. Some roads in the area had been cut off after heavy rains occurred in the past few months.
