After E-Class LWB and C-Class, its German luxury car Mercedes-Benz has officially introduced the GLK is produced in China.
This is the result of the deal in June last between Daimler and Chinese joint venture partner BAIC, to expand cooperation in the most populous country in the world. German carmaker also said it plans to produce 2 / 3 of car Mercedes-Benz of travel for Chinese customers early in 2015.
"Nothing demonstrates the commitment of our long term for the Chinese market by producing more cars. The localization of the Mercedes-Benz products are an important factor in the growth strategy in this country, "said Ulrich Walker, chairman and CEO of Daimler Asia said.
As from January to March 11/2011, Mercedes-Benz has sold 168,940 vehicles in China (including Hong Kong), up 29.9% over the same period in 2010. German carmaker aims to sell more than 300,000 Mercedes-Benz vehicles in China in 2015.
