At least 15 elementary school students were killed when a bus overturned shuttle students in Jiangsu Province, eastern China yesterday afternoon.

AP quoted a government spokesman said Jiangsu province, in addition to those who perished, there are eight other children were injured and one child is in critical condition. The accident occurred when the bus is traveling on a highway in rural areas, outside of Suzhou city, Jiangsu province. Chinese media said the bus plunged off the road, after it tried swerving to avoid another car.
According to China.org.cn , the accident occurred at 5:40 pm in the town Shouxian, Fengxian district, when the vehicle crashed trying to avoid a pedicab. Bus under the management of an elementary school in the town Shouxian, which can carry 52 people. Upon leaving school, 47 students trucks. When the vehicle near the village Zhanghoutun accident scene, it is still carrying 29 students.According to news agency Xinhua , the age of the victims has not been determined.
Specific cause of the crash is under investigation to clarify.
