10 best engine in 2012

Back up to date, the list of models of the new year was quite full and professional reputation of American cars page Ward's Auto has announced the best 10 engines a year.

This is the 18th year of editors and experts of the Ward's 10 institutions voted best engine in North America, the largest car markets in the world. Many manufacturers consider this as the Oscar awards in the automobile industry.

Below is a list of 10 specific best engine in 2012:

- 3.0L TFSI Supercharged DOHC V-6 (Audi A6)

- N20 2.0L Turbocharged DOHC I-4 (BMW Z4/528i)

- N55 3.0L Turbocharged DOHC I-6 (BMW 335i coupe)

- 3.6L DOHC Pentastar V-6 (300S/Jeep Chrysler Wrangler)

- 2.0L DOHC I-4 EcoBoost (Ford Edge)

- 5.0L DOHC V-8 (Ford Mustang Boss 302)

- 2.0L Turbocharged DOHC I-4 (Buick Regal GS)

- 1.6L DOHC I-4 (Hyundai Accent / Kia Soul)

- 2.0L DOHC I-4 Skyactiv (Mazda3)

- 3.5L DOHC V-6 HEV (Infiniti M35h)

It is noted that the list of 10 best engine in 2012 to 7 with gasoline direct injection engines (GDI) - a record number, suggesting that the pace of technology rapidly as automobile manufacturers focus on reducing engine capacity to meet fuel economy standards stricter than the U.S.. Only 3 engine technology used multi-port fuel injection (MFI) tradition, instead of direct injection, including Infiniti hybrid, Chrysler Pentastar and the Ford V8.

The engine has cast a vote to be used on regular production cars, available in the U.S. market no later than the quarter I/2012, and is priced less than $ 55,000.

As usual, the ceremony will be held at the North American International Auto Show 2012 (NAIAS 2012) held in the capital of the Detroit American car industry.
