A helicopter crashed into a river in New York yesterday, leaving one woman dead and injured two others.
According to BBC, the witness described the private Bell 206 aircraft lost control after takeoff and crashed into the East River near midtown Manhattan. New York Mayor, Michael Bloomberg, said the plane turned upside down when the river falls. He said it is unclear the cause of the accident. On the plane crashed at a pilot and four passengers, including two Britons.

When rescuers pulled the helicopter out of the water, witnesses said that the surface of it seems intact.The helicopter is pulled up by a crane on a rescue boat. At least seven lifeboats were involved in the salvage of the aircraft.
According to witnesses, they saw a man dive into the water and resurfaced, as he is able to save a trapped passenger. Police divers then pulled a dead woman off the plane, an hour after it fell into the river at 15h22 (local time).
The pilot named Paul Dudley swim to shore and remained at the scene. The remaining three passengers including two women and one man hospitalized.

According to the weather station's LaGuardia airport, weather conditions at the accident was clear, with visibility up to 16km. A spokesman for the Commission's national traffic safety, said the pilot was being questioned for the survey service.
