3 children killed and more than 50 others seriously ill in Peru, after lunch contaminated pesticides at school.

According to BBC , the children were fed a nutrition program for poor government, in a remote mountain village of northern Peru. The food consists of rice and fish are placed in a container, which previously was used to store rat poison. In addition, at least three adults infected in this case.

The child was taken ill in Cajabamba emergency.
Department for mass poisoning occurred in the village of Redondo in the Cajamarca, the capital, about 750km north of Lima. 3 children died aged 6 to 10. Food poisoning is the Food Assistance Program State offered, to provide schools in the poorest areas of Peru.
The mother of a 9-year-old child died of poisoning: "I think it tainted because of all the children were bruised and in all cases," the unidentified mother said. A health official said, that seems like a poisoning case from rat carbonate.
Prosecutors and the Peru Ministry of Health officials are investigating the cause of food poisoning.
A similar case occurred in 1999, when 24 children died in a village near Cusco, southern Peru, after they eat food contaminated with pesticides.
