U.S. teen arrested attempting to bomb school

A 17-year-old boy was arrested by police in the city of Tampa, USA, after he outlined a dire plot to bomb at the old school.

According to local police, Jared Cano allegedly planned to mount a device at the school in North Tampa Freedom and detonated it when the students entered into early next week. Fuel, shrapnel, plastic tube along with timer devices and explosives found by police at the home of Cano.

Besides the material used to make bombs, the investigators also found a drawing of classrooms at Freedom and records of the intent of murder of Cano. Cano was arrested Tuesday night (16 / 8) after police received an anonymous call about the plot.

Talking to reporters, the police chief said Castor June, Cano to cause injury to many more shootings in 1999. Then, two students at Columbine High School in Colorado, have opened fire and killed 12 students and a teacher.

The principal of Freedom, said the boy was expelled last month 4 / 2010 for an incident unrelated to the school. Cano had been arrested many times before on charges of theft, drug possession and weapons.
