Cambodian troops have started using 40-cannon BM-21 rockets (pictured) and tank-embedded artillery rocket launchers at Ta Moan and Ta Krabey temples after Thai troops had used poison gas against them and after Thai troops had opened several war fronts at Preah Vihear temple.
Cambodian troops said they had fired these weapons at 30 Thai positions, saying they had shown the utmost restraint by not using these weapons for the last few days.

They said the reason they used these weapons are because Thai troops had fired poison gas against them, use them as a self-defence after Thai troops had used all sorts of heavy artillery against them and to prevent Thai troops from further shelling Cambodian villages.
