According to Mozilla, Firefox 4 digital downloads to date has now surpassed 100 million, but the market share of Firefox browser is still fairly slow growth.

European users contribute most to these impressive numbers with 38.6 million downloads since Firefox 4 release, followed by the North American market with over 30 million downloads, while Asia was third with 20 million downloads.
If calculated by country, top rankings of downloads for Firefox 4 that 24.4 million Americans, Germans (7.3 million) and France (3.6 million) ranked next turn.
Figures are merely some downloads, but the actual browser market, the market share of Firefox 4 is still pretty slow growth, even lags behind Chrome and IE's market share.
According to statistics by StatCounter, Firefox 4 is held 8.04% share, while IE8 browser is led by 30.4%, followed by Firefox 3.6 with 18.41%.
Statistics also show that since Firefox 4 release, IE8's market share does not fluctuate much, at around 30%, while Firefox 3.6 decreased from 23.1% to 18.41% and Chrome Google market share stable at 15% to 16%. It looks like Firefox 4 only serve as the next upgrade of the "high fire" and not make the expected breakthrough.
According to the latest news, Mozilla plans to release Firefox in turn 5, 6 and 7 in the near future as well.
