Largest electronics conglomerates Korea has officially announced the British soccer star will be the brand ambassador for Samsung's global sponsorship campaign for the 2012 London Olympics.

Under a contract signed recently, Beckham will start as an ambassador in charge immediately, is responsible for promoting activities as well as participate in ad campaigns Samsung's public relations.
Speaking to reporters at the signing ceremony formal agreement, Samsung's vice president and director of sports marketing world, he Gyehyun Kwon said: "Sport is a great strength, help bring people closer together. That is how we want to reach. "
