According to officials of the Iraqi Interior Ministry, was sent to interrogate Batawi for conspiracy to attack al-Qaeda in Iraq, to avenge the death of Osama Bin Laden. Officials said he had delivered a group of other prisoners, before they fled the jail in Karrada district.
Batawi is who among the 12 people arrested in May 11/2010, because the attack involved a church in Baghdad in October last year.
